About Captain Rimmer:


Rimmer Covington has been plying the waters off of Venice, Louisiana since his early teen age years. After learning the ropes as a mate for Capt. Peace Marvel of Real Peace Charters, Rimmer began to make his own mark as a captain in Venice and has a reputation for fishing hard and putting his crew on the fish. Rimmer lives, eats and breaths fishing and his passion for the sport is contagious. When it comes to chasing down your blue water quarry, they don’t come any better or more dedicated than Capt. Trip Details:

 
Upon your arrival in Venice, you will have a  chance to settle in for a good meal and a few cocktails  and hear the stories of the day from around the Marina.  After a good nights sleep in the Cypress Cove Lodge,  you and your crew will meet Captain Rimmer on the docks  at safe light (usually around 6 AM) for a quick ride down  the Mississippi River to the Gulf. The ride down the river  is calm and is a great way to enjoy a cup of coffee in the  morning as you watch the egrets and other wild life in the  cane on the river banks. If live bait fishing is the call  for the day, you will start by locating bait and deploying  Sabiki rigs to fill the live wells.  A short ride to the fishing grounds and Captain Rimmer  will have your lines in the water and the battle can begin.  After a full day of fishing, sore arms, and pictures of awesome  catches, you will head back North to the cleaning tables in  Venice where your fish will be cleaned and bagged while you  enjoy a cocktail and consider when you will be able to make  your next trip this Sportsmen’s Paradise.

If you would prefer to leave from Biloxi, Mississippi where the accommodations and restaurants are a bit more plush, Capt. Rimmer will be happy to depart from Mississippi.
